Betty K.  Schaeffer, 89, of Landingville, PA, passed away, Friday, April 7th, at Lehigh Valley Health Network Schuylkill-East, Pottsville.

Betty was born in Spring Township, PA on December 4, 1927, a daughter of the late Sallie L.  (Noecker) and Herbert A.  Reedy.

She was the widow of Paul K. Schaeffer and a member of Faith Reformed United Church of Christ Landingville as well as being known as “The Rock” of the Landingville Fire Company.

Betty is survived by

Three daughters, Barbara, widow of Ken Killian, of Fryestown, PA;

Gloria, wife of Gary Ebling, of Auburn, PA;

Nancy Schaeffer, of Landingville, PA;

Two sons Kenneth, husband of Sun Schaeffer, of Severn, MD; Dennis Schaeffer, of Landingville, PA;

Betty is also survived by her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and was expecting an additional Great Grandchild in the near future.

She was predeceased by her daughter Brenda Marie Schaeffer and brothers Paul, Warren, and LeRoy Reedy and Sisters Ella Hassler, Anna Hartman & Verna M. Bertram.

A Religious Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 13th at Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, PA with Pastor James R. Fidler officiating

Friends are invited to call Wednesday Evening from 6 to 8 PM and also on Wednesday morning from 9:30 until time of service at the Funeral Home.

The Family would prefer Remembrances in the form of Contributions to Faith Reformed United Church of Christ 8 Church Street Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

Interment at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Inc. Schuylkill Haven.
