Irene P. Mellon, 94, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, October 9th, at Anderson Medical Center.

Irene was born in Minersville, PA on August 8, 1923, a daughter of the late Minnie A. (Stutzman) and James W. Bainbridge.

She was the widow of Paul W. Mellon.

Irene was a member of Lighthouse Church Orwigsburg and Concord Community Church, Anderson, South Carolina.

She worked in the cutting room at former Sylray Textile factory in Orwigsburg.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Paula L. Holzer, wife of Carl, of Anderson, SC; sister, Elaine Miller, of Schuylkill Haven, PA.

Brother Allen, husband of Joan Bainbridge, of Drehersville, PA;

Grandchildren Derek Holzer, husband of Kelly and Carla Marchione, wife of Joseph. 4 great-grandchildren Kylie and Zander Holzer, and Adalyn and Bowen Marchione and Irene was predeceased by 4 Sisters, Annabelle Sowers, Dorothy Stotland, Billene Breiner and Jean Stauffer, Irene's twin. Internment services will be held at Schuylkill Memorial Park at 1:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Irene’s Life Service at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 16th at Lighthouse Church, 10 Hollenbush Lane, Orwigsburg, with Pastor William M.
