Joseph James O'Donnell, 63, of Orwigsburg passed away on January 2, 2018.

Joe was born in Pottsville on October 14, 1954, a son of the late Francis O'Donnell and Margaret (Feinauer) O'Donnell.

Joe was the husband of Elizabeth Ann (Muncy) O'Donnell. They married on February 19, 1999.

In addition to his wife Joe is survived by daughters Katie Ayn O'Donnell, Arlington, Virginia and Jaime Leigh O'Donnell, Washington D.C.  as well as a son McClay (Mac) O'Donnell, Orwigsburg. In addition to his children Joe was survived by sisters Dorothy Gillespie and Margaret Kaplan and brothers Francis, Daniel and Thomas. Joe was predeceased by a brother Michael and sister Ann  Gormon.

Joe was also predeceased by his loveable boxer Seamus and is survived by his other sidekick Nucky.

Joe was truly honored to have served as a policeman in the City of Pottsville from 1982 to 2004. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #44. From 2004 until the time of his passing Joe was employed as a Safety Coordinator by North Central Highway Safety network, Pottsville.

A memorial gathering will begin at 9:00 am and last until 11:00 am when mass begins on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 319 Mahantongo Street, Pottsville, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made payable to "College of America"  c/o Liz O'Donnell, 26 Grey Hawk Drive, Orwigsburg 17961 to assist with Mac's college expenses.
