Raymond D. "Danny" Parker, 76, of Shenandoah Heights, passed away Saturday while in the company of his daughter, Betsy, at his residence.Born in Shenandoah Heights, June 7, 1938, he was a son of the late Helen Maksimak and Charles Parker.He was the husband of Elizabeth Ann Gaughan Parker.He was a member of Divine Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Shenandoah, and a graduate of West Mahanoy Township High, Class of 1956.He served in the Army and he worked as a shipping-receiving supervisor at Danville State Hospital. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Parker.In addition to his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth, Danny is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth "Betsy" Marie Parker, Shenandoah Heights, and Crystal K., wife of Lance Rautzhan, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; brothers, Robert J., widower of Marge Parker, Shenandoah Heights, and Edward K., husband of Marianne Parker, Shenandoah; a sister, Helene Parker, Allentown; a granddaughter, Danielle, wife of Jess Hossler Burrous, Missouri; a great-grandson, Joseph Polaconis; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Burrous; nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. May 30 at Annunciation Catholic Church. Friends are invited to gather at 8:30 a.m. May 30 before the service the church. Interment will be in at Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah. Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, is honored to be serving Danny's family.
