Robert D. Mariano, 68, of New Ringgold, passed away Monday, April 4th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network, Allentown, PA. Born in Buffalo, NY, on March 24, 1948, he was the son of the late Daniel J. and Mary C. (Ranalletto) Mariano. Robert was a 1966 graduate of Baker Victory High School, Lackawanna, NY. He also graduated from Trenton State College and Rider College. He enjoyed his career in law enforcement as well as an educator within various school districts. Robert was an avid traveler who had a great love for cooking and taking care of his animals. He was also a very active member of the Catholic Church throughout his life. He also served in the U.S Navy. Robert is survived by his three daughters: Elizabeth M., wife of Justin L. Crawford, of Boyertown; Amanda C., wife of Steven J. Nelson, of Collegeville; Emily L., widow of Benjamin J. Mast, of Fleetwood; his sister, Alexandra Morlock of Orange Park, FL; and his life partner of over fifteen years, Marie L. Moran. He also has four grandsons: Lochlan, Griffin, Jack and Lucas. Robert was predeceased by his brother, Daniel S. Mariano, Buffalo, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, PA, on Saturday, April 9th at 10:30 a.m. Friends are invited to call on Saturday morning from 9:30 -10:15 at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233. Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be held at St. Ambrose Cemetery and Mausoleum Schuylkill Haven, PA.
