Ruby A. Knott, 86, of Schuylkill Haven, formerly of Lewistown Valley, passed away Saturday, April 22nd, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

 Ruby was born in Lewistown Valley, PA on September 6, 1930, a daughter of the late Miriam (Bensinger) and George Houser.

She was the wife of Rodman Dean Knott. They married September 23rd, 1951.

She was 1949 Tamaqua Area High School Graduate and a member of Zion Church Lewistown Valley.

She worked as a Machine Operator at Rohrer Knitting Mill Orwigsburg.

Ruby was a member of the Little Schuylkill Lionettes. She loved to read, play bingo and enjoyed many weeks at Ocean City, MD

In addition to her husband Rod, of 65 years, Ruby is survived by

A daughter, Donna R., wife of Thomas Mihalov, of Schuylkill Haven, PA;

A son, Dean W., husband of Debra Knott, of Lake Wynonah, PA; Granddaughter Angela Gruver, Philadelphia, PA & Grandson Drew Knott, husband of Angela, Lake Wynonah. Three sisters, Gladys Bolton, of Towson, MD; Ruth, wife of  Clyde Heisler, of Bethlehem, PA; Rita, wife of  Larry Bensinger, of Montoursville, PA.

She was predeceased by her brother Harold Houser

A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 27th at Zion Church Lewistown Valley in Tamaqua, PA with Pastor James Williams officiating. Friends may call, at the Church from 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Church Lewistown Valley 491 Valley Road Tamaqua, PA 18252.

Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
