Cyrus Ronald Haldeman

Cyrus Ronald (Cy) Haldeman, 80, of Tamaqua, PA, passed away  Friday, July 14th, at his residence. He was born in Tamaqua, PA, on August 23, 1936, a son of the late Grace Elizabeth Beisel and Clinton Oscar Haldeman. He was the husband of Carol (Croll) Haldeman. They married on July 1, 1961.   He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Tamaqua, PA 18252.    He was also a member of the South Ward Fire Company.

Cy served in the U.S. Air Force.    He was the owner and operator of Cy's Barber Shop in Tamaqua, PA, for 57 years.   Cy is also survived by a daughter, Carol, wife of Tim Lacek, of New Tripoli, PA, and a son, Randy, husband of Stacy Haldeman, of Oregon, Wisconsin. He is also survived by grandchildren Matthew and Michael Haldeman and Andrew and Michaela Lacek.

He was preceded in death by his sister Margaret Hartranft and his twin brother Clinton Haldeman.

A religious service will be held Tuesday morning at 11 AM at Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Orwigsburg. Friends are invited to call from10 AM until time of service at 11 AM in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions be made to the St. John’s United Church of Christ, 150 Pine Street, Tamaqua, PA.
