Steven A. Valkosak, Sr., 52, of Orwigsburg, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, July 8th, at his residence. Steven was born in Pottsville, PA on June 26, 1965. He was the son of Suzann M. and Anthony E. Valkosak, Jr., of Orwigsburg, PA.He was preceded in death by his mother Dolores M. Strunak (Valkosak) in 1968. Steven was raised in the Catholic Faith and Graduated from Blue Mountain High School in 1983. He had a strong appreciation for nature and worked as a Mechanic & Welder during his life. He was an avid lover of Music, weightlifting and loved working on automobiles. In addition to his parents, Steven, is also survived by Two loving sons, Steven A.Jr., husband of Marisa C. Valkosak and Christopher M. Valkosak. A brother, Anthony E. Valkosak, III, husband of Barbara, Nephews Hunter & Anthony E. Valkosak, IV. Steven was loved dearly by his family and would help anyone in need. To his sons, he was Superman, but unfortunately he was a victim of the terrible disease of drug addiction. The disease caught up with Steven as it took away his last breath. In spite of many rehabilitation attempts and help from his family, his drug use continued. Being in denial about the truth benefits no one. If this message could save one person struggling from addition, he would have felt accomplishment. God opened his door to Steven; may God watch over him. He will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Steven’s Life Service will be held at Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, on Tuesday July 18th at 8PM. Friends are invited to gather at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until time of service in the funeral home.
