Annetta M. "Polly" Smith, 95, of Orwigsburg, formerly of 300 Second Mountain Road, died peacefully Tuesday at Weston Senior Living Center in Pinebrook.

Born in North Manheim Township, Aug. 20, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Harvey P. and Hannah Trumbo Potts.

She was the widow of Walter M. "Beck" Smith and a homemaker.

She served in the Women's Army Air Corps during World War II.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Orwigsburg, Ladies Auxiliary of Orwigsburg the VFW and Legion Auxiliary.

Smith was preceded in death by a son, John O'Truba; a sister, Sue Eckroth; and five brothers, Edward, Lester, Lindy, Theodore and Lauden Potts.

Surviving are her daughter Donna, wife of Michael Marshall, Shoemakersville; son, Ethan "Mick" Smith, Orwigsburg; daughter, Elaine, wife of Forrest Deitzler, Orwigsburg; and two grandchildren, Angie Eastin, Bay Saint Louis, Miss., and Timothy Deitzler.

Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg. Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Schuylkill Memorial Park Inc., Schuylkill Haven. The family would appreciate contributions to St. John's United Church of Christ, 236 E. Market St., Orwigsburg, PA 17961.
