Bernice G. Clauser, 88, of Auburn, passed away Saturday at Seton Manor Inc., Orwigsburg.

Born in Auburn, Aug. 4, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Gertie Hummel Phillips.

She was the widow of John "Bob" R. Clauser and she worked as a homemaker.

Bernice enjoyed Bingo at Summit Station Fire House on Friday nights and she and her late husband, Bob, enjoyed camping traveling and spending winters in Florida for more than 20 years.

She was a member of Kimmels Church, Orwigsburg.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Clauser; a brother, Ernest Phillips; and a nephew, Harold Phillips.

Surviving are three sons, John F., husband of Carol Clauser, Auburn, James, husband of Karleen Clauser, Auburn, and Jere L. Clauser, companion of Robert Mack, of Fairlawn , Va.; grandchildren, Jason J., husband of Robin Clauser, Kirk E., husband of Alyson Clauser, Christie R., wife of Rick Oshechuck, Rebecca S. , wife of Jeff Hoy, and Robert L., husband of Jamie Clauser; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A religious service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, with the Rev. Preston Broadhurst officiating. Friends are invited to call from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kimmels Church, P.O. Box 383, Orwigsburg, PA 17961.
