Carl S. Miller, 81, of New Ringgold, passed away Tuesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.

Born in South Manheim Township, Sept. 6, 1933, he was a son of the late Robert W. and Annie Smith Miller.

He was the widower of Janice J. Schwab Miller.

He worked as a machine operator at Walk-in Shoe Co., Schuylkill Haven, and he also worked for Shalmet for a number of years.

He was raised in the Protestant faith.

Carl was preceded in death by brothers, Silas S., William S., Theodore S., Robert S., Marvin S., Lee S. and Marlin S. Miller; and three sisters, Essie Leiby, Harriet Berger and Hannah Moyer.

Surviving are sons, Rick P., husband of Susan Miller, Schuylkill Haven, and Isaac C. Miller, New Ringgold; a daughter, Sheila, wife of Gladwin, Andreas; grandchildren, Stacy, wife of Jerry Schwartz, Brandon, husband of Savannah Miller, Louis Marmas, Jessica, wife of Teddy Keich; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Bryce, Brandon Jr., Quinn, Blake and Brady.

Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, with the Rev. Eugene C. Eckroth officiating. Friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn.
