David R. Wagner, 66, of New Ringgold, passed away peacefully Tuesday at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.

Born in Reading, Jan. 7, 1948, he was a son of the late Harry H. and Barbara Bohannon Wagner. He was raised in the Protestant faith and was the widower of Verna T. Kukuk Wagner, who passed away in 1980.

He served in the Army in the Vietnam Era, earning a Purple Heart.

He and his wife, Verna, operated Hawk Mountain Service Station from 1971 until 1980. Dave was a truck driver and a security guard for many years. Dave worked most of his life as a truck and car mechanic, and was last employed by J. Marlin Ernst & Son Trucking. He was a member of International Order of Odd Fellows, a lifetime member of Rainbow Hose Company and loved animals.

Dave is survived by two daughters, Tammy L., wife of Dennis A. Levan Jr., Pottsville, and Wendy L., wife of Patrick O'Neill, Schuylkill Haven; a grandson, Dennis A. Levan III; two granddaughters, Samantha and Victoria O'Neill; great-grandson, Dennis M. Levan IV and great-granddaughter, Mallory Lynn Levan.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg. Friends may gather with family members from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., at which time there will be an International Order of Odd Fellows service. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to I.O.O.F. East Brunswick Lodge #802, c/o V. Wade Fluke, Sec. 9194 Kings Highway, Kempton, PA 19529.
