Donna M. Tieman, 70, of Orwigsburg, passed away Thursday at Orwigsburg Center-Genesis Healthcare.

Born in Pottsville, July 12, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Floyd E. and Mildred V. Graeff Mantz.

A native of Schuylkill County, Donna graduated from Blue Mountain High School and went on to earn her associate's degree from Goldey Beacom Jr. College in Wilmington, Del.

Donna held numerous administrative and office management positions throughout her career. She retired from Goodwill Industries, where she had received the 1995 Outstanding Service Award for providing exemplary supportive employment services to individuals with disabilities.

Donna was very committed to her family and friends. Having been a talented tap, ballet and toe dancer, she held a lifelong interest in dance and theater. She also enjoyed cooking and sharing her favorite recipes.

She was a member of the Orwigsburg Chamber of Commerce, the Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star of New Jersey, United Church of Christ, Orwigsburg, and numerous management societies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph E. Mantz.

She is survived by two sisters, DiAnne L. Arbour, wife of James M. Bergen, Saluda, N.C., and Debra M., wife of Robert R. Long, Mechanicsburg; three nieces, Kristen Long Puleo, Media, Ann Schaeffer, Brommall, and Margo DeMarco, Darby; and two nephews, Matthew R. Long, Mechanicsburg, and Joseph E. Mantz Jr., Smithville, Tenn.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. Dec. 3 at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg. Visitation will be held prior to the service. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park Inc., Schuylkill Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Team Orwigsburg Healing Hearts and Homes C/O Salem United Methodist Church, Orwigsburg, PA 17961 or Meals on Wheels, Diakon Lutheran Ministries, Pottsville, PA 17901.
