Edith E. Siluk, 83, of Hamburg, entered into God's care Tuesday at Laurel Center Genesis Health Eldercare, Tilden Township.

Born in New Ringgold, she was a daughter of the late Amandus E. and Bertha M. Hafer Hess, formerly of Hamburg.

She was the widow of John R. "Jack" Siluk.

Edith was employed as a lacer at Adidas Shoe factory, Kutztown, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of Christ Church McKeansburg, New Ringgold, Hamburg Moose Lodge 523 and Senior Citizens of Shoemakersville.

She was preceded in death by two sons, John Michael and James Robert Siluk; sisters and brothers.

Surviving are a sister, Esther Greenzweig, Orwigsburg, widow of Alvin Greenzweig; brother-in-law, Stanley Siluk, New Ringgold, widower of Irene; sister-in-law, Jeanette Freiwald, New Ringgold, widow of Herman Freiwald; her best friend, Nancy Knoblauch, Port Clinton; her nephew and caregivers, W. David and Pat Freiwald, Leesport; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Religious services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, with the Rev. Sunny L. Stock officiating. Friends and family members are invited to call from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Christ Union Cemetery, McKeansburg.
