Edna R. Bracey, 85, of Orwigsburg, formerly of St. John Street, Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday at Seton Manor Inc.

Born in Pottsville, Jan. 15, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Irvine and Cora Mengle Phillips.

She was the widow of Jay Schucker, who passed away in 1954.

She worked as a machine operator at Argo Mills and retired in 1967.

Edna was a member of Faith Reformed United Church of Christ, Landingville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Eric Bracey and Brian J. Schucker; brothers, Irvine, Linwood, Earl and Norman Phillips; and two sisters, Naomi Shaeffer and Helen Matilda Bohrman.

Surviving are a son, Scott P. Bracey and his wife, Andrea L., Schuylkill Haven; two granddaughters, Kelly Schucker, Boston, Mass., and Anasia L. Bracey, Schuylkill Haven; and brother, Melvin A. Phillips, husband of Erma.

Religious services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, with Pastor James R. Fidler officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to , 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
