Edward D. Grabarek, 76, of Reading, PA, passed away Thursday, December 8th, at Orwigsburg Center - Genesis Healthcare, Orwigsburg. Born in Pottsville, PA on March 20, 1940, he was a son of the late Juel (Doyle) and Edward Joseph Grabarek, DDS

Edward was raised in the Catholic Faith and was a 1958 Graduate of Nativity High School. He attended Philadelphia Textile Institute and went on to serve our country in the US Army, Special Services. Ed enjoyed cooking but his passion was golf.  He was a Reading Country Club member for many years.  Throughout his life-time he won numerous tournaments and shot 11 holes in one!

As a hearing aid audiologist, Edward owned & operated Hearing Aid Associates in Reading, PA from 1967 until his passing.

Edward is survived by his daughter, Janel A., wife of Kevin Burroughs, of Towson, MD, son, Edward D. Grabarek, Jr. of Reading, PA,

sister, Judith, wife of Nicholas Shestok, of Orwigsburg, PA, brothers, Paul, husband of Linda Grabarek, of Severna Park, MD, and Richard Grabarek, of Annapolis, MD, several nieces &nephews and his beloved cat, Nittany.

A Celebration of Edward's life will be held on Saturday, January 7th at Saint Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 2330 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, PA 19606.  The memorial will take place at 10:30am with a mass of Christian burial to start at 11:00am in the chapel.
