George F. (Buddy) Porambo, 92, of Orwigsburg, passed away Sunday, November 25th, at York Terrace Nursing Center, Pottsville.

George was born in Orwigsburg, on April 19, 1926, a son of the late Susan (Katyuch) and Andrew J. Porambo.

He was the widower of Virginia L. (Curran) Porambo, and a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church Schuylkill Haven.

George attended Orwigsburg High School and then served in the U.S. Army as a PFC in WW II.

He was self employed on his own farm in Orwigsburg. From 1948 until 1960 he worked for the Rearing Railroad Co. he was a past member of the

Landingville Community Fire Co. and the American Legion Post # 0369.

George is survived by his friend & caregiver Lori Teter, Wife of Dave, Orwigsburg, along with nieces & nephews in the Philadelphia area

He was preceded in death by his sister Eleanor Nelson and Brother Andrew J. Porambo.

A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 30th at Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg.

Friends are invited to call from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Interment, with Military Honors, will be at St. John's Byzantine Cemetery, Summit Hill, PA
