James E. (Jim) Steele, 69, of Deer Lake, PA passed away Saturday, March 25th, at the VA Medical Center, Hospice Unit,  in Lebanon, surrounded by his family.

Jim was born in Pottsville, PA on March 15, 1948, a son of the late Eleanor G. (Ney) and Henry B. Steele. He was raised in the Protestant Faith.

He was the husband of Pamela M. (Brossman) Steele. They married January 30, 1971.

Jim was a Blue Mountain High School Graduate, Class of 1966. After High School he attended Vale Technical School, in Indiana, PA. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War, 1st Infantry, Big Red One. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 0038, Schuylkill Haven.

Together with his wife Pam he Owned and operated his Father's business,  H. B. Steele & Son, Inc. Orwigsburg, which he then passed on to his sons.

In addition to his wife Pam, of 46 years, Jim is also survived by his two

Sons Cale E. & Kevin J. Steele and his Grandson Toby W. Steele.

Friends are invited to call 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Thursday Evening, March 30th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 8:00PM, with Rev. Randolph B. Ott officiating Interment will be private.
