Jane A. Caracappa, 55, of New Ringgold, passed away Wednesday while in the company of family members at her son's home on Summer Valley Road.

Born in Havre de Grace, Md., June 12, 1959, she was a daughter of the late Vernon Roy and Barbara Betty Spink Gullion.

She was the widow of Guido J. Caracappa.

She attended Joppatown, Maryland High School, and was raised in the Lutheran faith.

Jane was previously employed as a dietary aid at Orwigsburg Center, and was a member of New Ringgold Fire Company.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Natasha.

Jane is survived by a daughter, Mary "Genia" E., wife of Stephen Torola, Orwigsburg; a son, Jeremy S., husband of Renee Zehner, New Ringgold; stepdaughter, Donna Caracappa; two sisters, Laura, wife of Rusty McMullen, and Susan, wife of Daniel Riddell; a brother, Richard Guillion, husband of Samantha; and eight grandchildren, Justin, Aimee, Shod, Mason, Mikayla, Mckenzie, A.J. and Mika.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 18 at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg. Friends are invited to gather with the family from 9 a.m. until the time of service Oct. 18. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., 116 S. Liberty St., Orwigsburg, PA 17961.
