Jean S. Kramer, 78, of Oakdale Estates, Orwigsburg, passed away Wednesday while in the company of family members at Schuylkill Center.

Born in Pottsville, July 3, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Ether Gertrude Freed Hilbert.

She was a 1953 graduate of Pottsville High.

Jean was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Orwigsburg, where she was a member of the church choir, Schuylkill County Community Chorus, and Schuylkill County Women's Club.

She was very artistic and her family and friends were everything to her.

She was the widow of Raymond I. Kramer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a sister, Lois Netchel.

Surviving are her sons, Gary S. Kramer, husband of Nancy A., Bessemer, Ala., Kenneth L. Kramer, husband of Suzanne C., Bristol, Tenn., and Kyle T. Kramer, Hollywood, Calif.; daughter, Leisha A., wife of Larry Hoffman, Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren, Matthew Volpe, Michael Kramer, Jordan Kramer, Dylan Kramer, Holly Keff and Christopher Harner and his girlfriend, Stephanie Kling; great-granddaughter, Sabrina Keff; great-grandson, Michael Kramer Jr.; a niece, Colleen Koch; and a nephew, David Koch; and additional nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, followed by a religious service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Barbara Kershner officiating. Graveside services will be in Salem Evangelical Cemetery, Orwigsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, 236 E. Market St., Orwigsburg, PA 17961.
