JOHN  A.  STEINBRUNN, 79, of Orwigsburg, PA, passed away  Tuesday, June 9th, at Orwigsburg Center - Genesis Healthcare .

Born in Orwigsburg, Pa. on July 12, 1935, a son of the late Irma  L.  (Miller ) and Elmer  E.  Steinbrunn.

He was preceded in death  Jane  E.  (Shuman ) Steinbrunn, his wife of 45 years.

During his life he served in the National Guard and he also served within the community as Orwigsburg Borough Manager.

He was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ Orwigsburg, where he served on Church Consistory, John was a former Orwigsburg Lion and was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.

He was a 1954 Graduate of Lawrenceville School , Lawrenceville NJ and also a  1958 Lehigh University Graduate. He was in Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.

During his life he was employed in  Sales and Management for local area Businesses

John  is  survived by

a daughter, Amanda , wife of  Robert  Koehler , of Ellicott City, MD;

a son, Jason  Steinbrunn , of Schuylkill Haven, PA;

Twin Daughters  Jonna  Steinbrunn , of Orwigsburg, PA; and Jodi  L. , wife of  Jeff  O'Neill, of Orwigsburg, PA;

Sister  Lilli , widow of  William Poole, Springfield, VA

9 Grandchildren and 10 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his sister Pauline S. Carl wife of Robert S. Carl , Sr.

There will be a Memorial Service at  Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., Orwigsburg, at the Convenience of the family.
