Karen J. Piccione, 81, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday, February 2nd, peacefully, at her residence.
Karen was born in Pottsville, on January 22, 1942, a daughter of the late Catherine (Negri) and Leroy Gensel Jones.
She was the widow of Louis (Lou) J. Piccione and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ Orwigsburg.
Karen graduated from Schuylkill Haven High School in 1959. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics from Juanita Collage in 1963 and earned her Master's in Guidance from Kutztown University.
She worked as a Teacher & Guidance Counselor for the Blue Mountain School District. Karen was a member of the O.W.L.S.  and the local Mah Jongg Club.
Karen is survived by her son, Lee Piccione, husband of Julie of Severn MD and grandchildren Kendall & Kade Piccione.
A Celebration of Life Service for Karen will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, February 8th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, with Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating. A memorial gathering will begin at 3:00 PM
