Loretta M. Klahr, 95, entered into God's care Monday at Orwigsburg Center-Genesis Healthcare, Orwigsburg. She was a former resident of Pinebrook Assisted Living, Orwigsburg, and spent most of her life in Orwigsburg.

Born in Auburn, June 17, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Fredrick and Katie Mellon Long.

She was the widow of Paul C. Klahr, who passed away in 1997.

She was employed as a machine operator for two years at the former Sylray Underwear Co., Orwigsburg, retiring in 1980.

She was a member of Kimmels Church, Orwigsburg, and was very active in her church, where she taught Sunday school. She loved playing cards, cooking, crafts and going to dinner theaters.

Loretta and her husband enjoyed fishing and camping in their travel trailer.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles E., Richard W. and Howard F. Long; and two sisters, Helen Moyer and Idella Schappell.

Surviving are her sister, Florence A. Boltz, Auburn; nieces and nephews.

Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Interment services will be held in Kimmels Cemetery, Orwigsburg. In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Kimmels Evangelical Free Church, 179 Pine Creek Drive, P.O.
