Marilyn B. Stochel, 81, of Locust Lane, Deer Lake, formerly of Spotswood, N.J., died Tuesday at her residence surrounded by family members.

Born in Biloxi, Miss., Dec. 17, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Elvera Jelusich De George.

She was the widow of Robert B. Stochel Sr.

She was employed in the maintenance department at Spotswood School District.

Marilyn was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, South River, N.J., and Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and an infant, Gerald DeGeorge; and two sisters, Sue Knebel and Melrose Nicovich.

Surviving are a son, Robert B. Stochel Jr., husband of Tamara A., New Jersey; daughters, Carol A. Stochel, Delaware, and Theresa A., wife of Robb L. Blankenhorn, Pennsylvania; a brother, Arnold DeGeorge, Alabama; a sister, Elizabeth, wife of H.L. Calender Sr., Mississippi; and six grandchildren.

A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg. Family and friends are invited to call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
