Marlin L. Kramer, 85, of West Brunswick Township, passed away peacefully Saturday at Rest Haven nursing home, Schuylkill Haven, surrounded by family members.

Born in New Ringgold, June 20, 1929, he was a son of the late Eva Daubenspect Miller and Elmer Kramer.

He was the husband of Irene Yurenko Kramer, whom he married Feb. 6, 1954.

He was a member of VFW Hamburg Post and served in the Army in the Korean War.

He worked for Alcoa in Cressona and was a member of New Life Ministries, Schuylkill Haven.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 60 years, Irene Yurenko Kramer, Orwigsburg, are a daughter, Beverly Zimmerman, Schuylkill Haven; a son, Randy Kramer, New Ringgold; brothers, Carl Nester, New Ringgold, Alvin, husband of Betty Miller, Schuylkill Haven, and Elwood, husband of Kay Miller, Orwigsburg; sisters, Kathryn Reinhart, Kutztown, and Darlene, wife of Norm Staller, Schuylkill Haven; five grandchildren, Amber, wife of Thomas Ricketts, Autumn Zimmerman and Shawn, Cassidy and Connor Kramer; and one great-grandson, Elijah Gonzales.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, with the Rev. Gary Shaffer officiating. Friends may gather from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Drehersville Evangelical Cemetery Inc., Orwigsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hamilton Funeral Home to defray expenses.
