Martin S. "Chico" Moyer, 74, of Orwigsburg, passed away Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Chico was born in Orwigsburg, June 15, 1943, a son of the late Kermit and Lovey Fisher Moyer.

He was the husband of Karen L. Delong Moyer. They married Sept. 11, 1977.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nadine.

Chico was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Class of 1961.

During his life, he was employed by the Walk-in Shoe Co., Deer Lake Drive In, James Cook Masonry, Grandma's Restaurant and 3 C's Restaurant.

He was very active in the Landingville Fire Company for more than 40 years and was currently serving as financial secretary. He was also a member of Deer Lake Fire Company and the New Ringgold Fire Company. Chico was also a member of the former Landingville Softball Team.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Bruce "Bucky" and Jeff Moyer.

In addition to his wife of 39 years, Karen, Chico is survived by his daughter, Melinda, wife of Eric Trezise; son, Bradly, husband of Yulibel Moyer; brother, Luther, husband of Charlotte Moyer; sister, Dawn, widow of Ira Krammes; brother, Brian, husband of Kay Moyer; Deborah Shade, widow of Keith, Texas; sister-in-law, Diane Hauptly, wife of Tom; sister-in-law, Barb, widow of Bruce Moyer; grandchildren, Reilly, Reagan, Reese and Christopher; nieces and nephews.

A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Orwigsburg, with Pastor James R. Fidler officiating. Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and also from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Landingville Fire Company, 1 Firehouse Road, Landingville, PA 17972, or Keystone Wounded Warriors, P.O. Box 475, Blandon, PA 19510. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
