Miriam R. Miller, 92, of Hecla, passed away peacefully Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.

Miriam was born in Weissport, Dec. 15, 1921, a daughter of the late Edward and Mabel Kistler Miller.

She was the wife of Kenneth P. Miller Sr. They were married Aug. 16, 1941.

She was employed as a laborer at Atlas Powder Co., Reynolds, for 42 years. She retired at 62 years of age.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Orwigsburg.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 72 years, Kenneth, Hecla, are a son, Kenneth P. Jr., husband of Debra Miller, Cressona; three grandsons, Kenneth P. Miller III, husband of Tracy, Lititz, Erik Miller, husband of Denise, Berlin, N.J., and Alexander Miller, Cressona; three great-granddaughters, Brenna Miller and Abigail Miller, both of Berlin, N.J., and Marianna Miller, Wyomissing.

Religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, with the Rev. Darcy M. Reis officiating. Friends are invited to call from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Miriam's name may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 156, 215 N. Warren St., Orwigsburg, PA 17961.
