Robert J. Knott, 58, of Auburn, died peacefully Monday at his residence.

Born in Pottsville, July 15, 1954, he was a son of Mary L. Yost Knott, Schuylkill Haven, and the late William H. Knott.

A 1972 graduate of Blue Mountain High School, he worked as a maintenance man at Shaner Enterprises, Auburn.

He served in the Navy.

He was raised in the Lutheran faith.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are daughters, Mary B., wife of Brent Setlock, Pottsville, and Heather C., wife of James Leonard, Minersville; granddaughters, Rebekkah L. Setlock and Rachael M. Setlock, both of Pottsville, and Katrina M. Quinn and Emma J. Leonard, both of Minersville; grandsons, Connor M. Quinn and Warren T. Quinn, both of Minersville; and brothers, William H. Knott, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Dave R. Knott, Sunny Vale, Calif.

Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc. followed by religious services at 10:30 a.m. with Robert's brother, the Rev. William H. Knott, officiating. Interment will be in St. Johns United Church of Christ Cemetery, Orwigsburg. Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, is honored to be serving the family.
