Theresa A. Sweat, 75, of Orwigsburg, passed away Wednesday at Schuylkill Center-Genesis Healthcare, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, May 20, 1939, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Laychock Socko.

She was the widow of Robert L. Sweat Sr. and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Louis Cescon.

A 1957 graduate of Nativity BVM High School, she was employed as a machine operator at the former Argo Mills and Dixon Pen factory.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.

Surviving are a daughter, Patti A. Dmytrow and her friend, Chris Brinich; stepdaughters, Paula J. Powell and Jarra L. Slain; stepsons, Robert L. Sweat, husband of Laurie, and Ethan J. Sweat; two grandsons, Aaron Sweat, Airman 1st Class, Air Force, and Michael Sweat; a brother, John Socko; two sisters, Cecelia and Anne Marie Socko; a niece and goddaughter, Tami Moore; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in the church chapel. Interment will take place in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, 2nd floor, Princeton, NJ 08540. Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
