Thomas M. "Pete" Gruver, 61, of Minersville, formerly of Orwigsburg, passed away peacefully Saturday at his residence.

Born in Pottsville, April 29, 1952, he was a son of the late Marlin W. "Pete" and Kathryn Gruver.

He worked as a residential painter.

Thomas is survived by two sons, Shad M. Gruver, Orwigsburg, and Joshua M. Gruver, Womelsdorf; a grandson, Jonathan Gruver, Womelsdorf; three sisters, Silvia K. Shay and Janet Bensinger, both of Orwigsburg, and Jean Wessner, Auburn; and a brother, Barry Gruver, Wernersville.

Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, has been entrusted with arrangements, which will be held at the convenience of the family.
