William B. Plucker, 91, of Deer Lake, Orwigsburg, passed away Thursday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.

Born in Blandon, Nov. 10, 1922, he was a son of the late Herbert A. and Ida Burkert Plucker.

He was the husband of Lois L. Fisher Plucker, whom he married May 29, 1948.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He was employed as a pattern maker at Behler Patterns, Orwigsburg, and retired in 1984.

William was a member of Zion's Red Church, Orwigsburg, former board member of Deer Lake Water Co. and former fire chief of Deer Lake & West Brunswick Fire Company for 15 years, and Schuylkill Hunting Camp, Lycoming County. He was also a 32nd degree Mason, Orwigsburg Lodge No. 138 F&AM, Schuylkill Shrine Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ardell Rickenbach.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 65 years, Lois, are a daughter, Susan K., wife of Steven P. Moyer, Schuylkill Haven; a son, David W. Plucker, husband of Christine P., Boothwyn; brothers, Herbert A. Plucker, Sacramento, Calif., Richard Plucker, husband of Doris, Newark, Del., and Myron Plucker, Montana; a sister, Isabel, widow of Richard Barr, Mohnton; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg, with visitation with the family members from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment services will be held in Zion's Red Church Cemetery, Orwigsburg. In lieu of flow ers, memorial contributions may be made to Deer Lake & West Brunswick Fire Company, 1 Ash Road, Deer Lake, Orwigsburg, PA 17961.
