Brian Miller Obituary

Brian Willis Miller, 76, of Orwigsburg, passed away Wednesday, June 23rd, at Geisinger St. Luke's Orwigsburg.  Brian was born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania  on May 23, 1945, a son of the late Elizabeth (Otruba) and Willis Homer Miller.

  He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Orwigsburg.  He very much enjoyed working as a teacher at the Hamburg School District and as a football and track coach at both Hamburg and Blue Mountain School District.  He was a Mason, Lodge #138 and a member of the NRA, the Berks County Athletic Hall of Fame and the Hamburg High School Sports Hall of Fame.  He loved sports, the outdoors, old Western movies, hunting, vacations at Cape May, and reading.  Coaching and mentoring young people was Brian's greatest tribute.  He touched the lives of thousands and remained in contact with many of the students he taught and the athletes he coached throughout his life.

  Brian is survived by his daughter, Nicole, wife of Jamie Campbell, and their children Brogan and Cameryn; two sons Jeremy, husband of Alicia Miller and their children Rio and Emerson Morelli and Everly and Landon Miller and Joshua, husband of Lisa Miller and their child Bennett Brian Miller.  Brian is also survived by a sister, Cheryl, wife of David Witman and a brother, Dennis, husband of Lynn Miller

An evening visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, from 5-8 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, on Warren Street, in Orwigsburg. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Tribute Program 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
