Daniel Peter Vockie

Daniel Peter Vockie, 91, of Orwigsburg, PA, formerly of St Clair, passed away Tuesday, January 30th, at his residence, where he lived with his daughter, Alice Mack. Daniel was born in Shamokin, on April 11, 1926, a son of the late Charlotte (Chapleski) and Walter Vockie.

He was the widower of Blanche (Shaffer) Vockie. They were married for 50 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, St. Clair, PA, where he served as a deacon for 50 years.

He worked as a Coal miner and was a past member of the St. Clair Sewer authority. He also assisted at the voting polls for ten years at the West End Hose Company in St. Clair.

Daniel is survived by two daughters, Alice M., wife of Leon J. Mack, of Orwigsburg, and Ruth Juranis, wife of Jim of St. Clair,. Daniel is also survived by a sister, Eleanor Anzur, of California and grandchildren Karen Bolich, wife of Michael, Lisa Robinson, wife of Guy, Pamela Mack, Denise Heim, wife of Daniel, Jessica, wife of Derek Masser and Daniel, husband of Kimberly Kroznuski. Great grandchildren - Abigail, Allison and Emma Bolich.   Guy Jr. And Madeline Robinson, Darren, Dawson and Deanna Heim. Taylor and Emma Masser.   Also survived by brother-in-law William Shaffer, widower of Rose and sister-in-law Edith Malinzak, wife of Frank. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. Daniel was predeceased by brothers Truman and Chester Vockie and also sisters Violet Marnickas, Florence Buzas, Marcella Anderko, Christine Rozinski, Helen Filanowski, Verna Kostec and Dolores Snyder.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10th with visitation at 10 AM and religious service at 11 AM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, St. Clair, PA.

Interment private at convenience of the Family.
