Obituary

Dean K. Boyer, 64, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday, January 22nd, at Geisinger St. Luke's Orwigsburg.

Dean was born in Pottsville, on March 2, 1957, a son of Ira Clyde Boyer, of Pottsville, and the late Rosemary (Frey) Boyer. He was the companion of Laurie Gosch

He was a member of Bethesda Reedsville Evangelical Congregational Church Schuylkill Haven.

He was a Blue Mountain High School Graduate, class of 1975.

Dean served in the U.S. Air Force as a Sgt. and worked as a Salesman. He volunteered frequently with his church.

In addition to Ira, his father, Dean is survived by

Two daughters, Kendall Boyer-Cusack, wife of Kyle; Kaitlyn Boyer

His son, Dane Boyer, Companion of Rachel Coller. Sister Lori Teter, wife of David; Dean is also survived by nephew David “DJ” Teter, husband of Lori and Great Niece Dakota Teter.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 29th, 11:00 AM, at Bethesda Reedsville Evangelical Congregational Church, 155 Reedsville Road, Schuylkill Haven, 17972, with Rev. Mark Brooks officiating. Memorial Gathering will begin at 9:00 AM

Guests are asked to follow CDC guidelines to limit the spread of COVID-19

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church or the American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone IA 50037-0839.

Private interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, at a later date.
