Joan E. (Reidler) Mistishen

 Joan E. Mistishen, 88, of Orwigsburg, passed away Thursday, August 3rd, peacefully, at her residence, with family by her side.

Joan was born in Pottsville on August 20, 1934, a daughter of the late Edna (Reed) and Lester George Reidler.  She was the widow of Harold (Harry) L. Mistishen, Sr...

She was a graduate of Pottsville High School. In addition to being a homemaker, she also worked in the kitchen at Genesis and Sylray before retiring.  She was also a Hair Stylist and had her own business after high school. She enjoyed baking cookies and sharing them with others, whom often referred to her as "mom". 

Joan is  survived by two sons Harry Mistishen, Jr.,  husband of  Mary Anne  and  Joseph Mistishen, husband of  Mary; grandchildren Rachel  Crumrine, wife of Randy, Jamie Rozinski, wife of Anthony, Ryan Mistishen and his fiancé Bailey McFadden and Emily Cartmell, wife of Caleb.  Great grandchildren Aaron Crumrine, Killian Skocik, Alexandra and Max Baver, Arabella Cartmell and Holden Mistishen. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter Joan (Joanie) Marie Hollenbach.

There will be an evening visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, August 14th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg. Funeral services will be on Tuesday August 15th, at 11:00 with viewing from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be in St. John’s UCC Cemetery, Orwigsburg.
