Joann M. (Krammes) Barnett

Joann M. Barnett, 86, of Orwigsburg, passed away Sunday, January 21st, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. 
Joann was born in Pottsville on October 8, 1937, a daughter of the late Mabel (Yoder) and Harold Krammes. 
She graduated from Schuylkill Haven High School, class of 1955 and went on to serve her country in the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1958. During her time in the Air Force Joann was stationed at the Pentagon in Washington DC. 
In 1958, Joann married SSgt Grover Barnett and she along with their son James  were stationed in Germany, Alabama, Japan, and Texas. She was an active member in the Berk’s County Women’s Veterans Group. 
Joann retired in 2002 from Omnova, formerly Reneer Films in Auburn. 
Joann is survived by her son, James Barnett, husband of Marilyn, along with many friends, and her adopted cat, Susie. She was predeceased by her sister Helen Bochansky. There will be a private interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions  to Hillside SPCA or the Orwigsburg Public Library would be greatly appreciated.
