Lynda B. (Lundbye) Hamilton

Lynda Beth Hamilton, 77, of Orwigsburg, passed away Tuesday, September 23rd, at Geisinger St. Luke's, Orwigsburg.

Lynda was born in Pottsville on August 29, 1948, a daughter of the late Geraldine (Rutter ) and John Lundbye. 
 Her parents owned and operated the Lundbye Funeral Home for many years before it became the Hamilton Funeral home under the supervision of her late husband Wayne S. Hamilton. Wayne died on April 1st of this year.
Lynda graduated from Blue Mountain High School, Class of 1966 and went on to earn her Associate Degree.
She was a lifetime member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Orwigsburg.
Lynda was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper for Boyer's Food Markets, Orwigsburg, from 1978 until her retirement in 2010. 

Lynda was a member of the Schuylkill Country Club and loved playing cards. She was a past member of the Orwigsburg Lionettes and Order of Eastern Star, Orwigsburg Chapter .
Lynda is also survived by her sister, Barbara Huey, wife of  G. Curtis, of Orwigsburg.
She is also survived by nephew Seth Huey, husband of Teddi;  niece Taryn Fisher, wife of Drew;   great  nephews Brayden and Jaxson Fisher as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews,  in-laws, cousins and close friends.  

An evening viewing will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 1st at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg. Calling hours will pause at 7:00 PM for an Eastern Star Service.

A Religious Service will be held at 11:00  on Thursday, October 2nd  with Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating. Guests are welcome from 9:00 AM until time of service. Interment services will be held at Salem Evangelical Cemetery, Orwigsburg.
