Paul Deibert Obituary

Paul M. Deibert, 66, a resident of Cressona, Pa, passed away  February 4, 2022 in his home with his wife, Carol, by his side.

Paul was born in Orwigsburg, June 23, 1955.  He was the son of the late Robert K. and Mary E. Kriner Deibert.   He was a 1973 graduate of Blue Mountain High School. Paul entered the Air Force immediately upon graduation and continued serving in the Pennsylvania  Air National Guard until honorably discharged in May 1980.  

Paul was the President of Commonwealth Financial Services, Inc. for 13 years.  Prior to that, he was a Vice President and loan officer at the Schuylkill Haven Trust Company in Schuylkill Haven for six years and Vice President of Purchasing at Pennsylvania National Bank in Pottsville.

He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Pottsville and served on the Board of Directors and was a past President.  He was also very active in the Boy Scouts of America  serving in several council positions , but most important he served as scout master for pack 623, St. Ambrose Scouting Program.  He also served as a fund raiser for the United Way of Pottsville.

Surviving are his beloved wife Carol A. Deibert, married 4/19/1980, two sons Christopher Deibert and his wife Amy as well as their son C. Harrison Deibert of Georgia; his son Steven Deibert and his wife Sarah and their two sons, Jackson and Levi, residing in Maryland.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, February 8th at 11 AM at Hamilton Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. Orwigsburg, with Msgr. Rev. Edward Zemanik officiating.  Visitation will begin at 9 AM. Interment will be at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, on Friday, February 11 at 12:30 PM.
