Raedel R. (Dollie) Moore, 98, of Orwigsburg, died Saturday, August 22nd, at Orwigsburg Center.
Dollie was born in Ryan Township, PA on September 6, 1921, a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Jones) Bankes and Lewis James Bankes.
She was the widow of Ralph M. (Dinty) Moore. She lived in Clamtown from age 14 until 1945 when she moved to Orwigsburg.
Dollie was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Orwigsburg, where she served as the Chairwoman of the Greeters and Visitation. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW and the Eastern Star of Orwigsburg- Chapter # 424.
During her life she was employed with the Atlas Powder Co., Classtex Knitting Mill and the Zulick Shoe Factory.
Dollie is survived by her daughter, Phyllis M. Brilla, wife of Bernard, of Orwigsburg; her son, Dennis M. Moore, also of Orwigsburg.
She is also survived by Grandchildren Mark Brilla, husband of Hope (Missy); Matthew Brilla, Husband of Erika.. Great Grandchildren Chase Brilla, Bryce Brilla, Stone Brilla, EveyRae Brilla and Devan Stortz, husband of Amanda and Great Great Grandson John Stortz.
Dollie is the last her siblings and also of her extensive circle of friends.
She was preceded in death by brothers Reese, William, Daniel & Elmer Bankes and sisters Alberta Knieriem, Florence Krueger, Helen Teter and Thelma Assalita. She was also predeceased by her Great Grandson Maxim Anthony Brilla.
A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 28th at St. John's United Church of Christ in Orwigsburg. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment to follow at Schuylkill memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Guests planning to attend are asked to please follow CDC Guidelines to help against spread of covid-19.
