Raymond F. Bachert, 81, of Auburn, died Saturday, December 1st, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Raymond was born in East Brunswick Township on April 8, 1937, a son of the late Minerva (Kleckner) Bachert and Oscar P. Bachert.
He was the widower of Eva M. (Zettlemoyer ) Bachert. She passed away May of this year.
He was raised in the Protestant Faith and was employed as a Machine Operator at the former Reener Films Corp. in Auburn, for over 30 Years. He retired in 1991 due to his health. Raymond was a hard worker & always provided for his family. He was proud to have raised Christmas trees and was a skilled mason. Ray, and his late wife, Eva, built their own home & Garage where they lived for many years.
He is survived by Two daughters, Connie Kodash, companion of Glenn Spraut; Cindy, wife of Marty Krammes.
Two sons Marlin Bachert & Gary Bachert, husband of Barbara.
Two Granddaughters Ashley Ziegler and Nicole Lorish.
Great Grandchildren Alexa Ziegler, Talon Zimmerman; Brayden, Kinsley, Emersyn & Adalynn Lorish. Raymond was very proud of his granddaughters and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 Brothers Oscar & Claude Bachert and his sister Luella Henderickson
A Religious Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 6th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, with John Ziegler, SALM officiating. Friends are invited to call from 11:00 AM until time of service on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Polycystic Kidney Foundation, 1001 E. 101st Terrace, Suite 220 Kansas City, MO, 64131.
Interment Services will be held at Zion's Red Church Cemetery, Orwigsburg,
