Robert Milton Quinter, 85, Schuylkill Haven, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 12th, surrounded by his family members. Robert was born in Pottsville, on February 15, 1933, the son of the late Helen Louise (Uetz) Quinter and Harold Quinter and Step-Mother Francis (Snyder) Quinter. He was the widower of Catherine M. (Eckroth) Quinter. Catherine predeceased him 6 years ago, to the day. He was a Graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1951. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War. Robert earned the National Defense Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was employed as the plant manager of the Argo corp. in Orwigsburg, as well as Security at the former Alcoa Aluminum Plant in Cressona. Robert is survived by his son, Bradd R. Quinter. Two daughters, Penny L., wife of Bruce Hummel and Sheila M., wife of Robert Weber. Robert is also survived by Grandchildren Nicole Kovich wife of John, Justin Quinter, Anthony & Melanie Benash, Mika Neff wife of Kevin, Aaron King husband to Hoi-Yee, Christopher Weber husband to Chasity & Kelly Fessler wife of Steve. Great Grandchildren Cole and Kyra Neff, Kaylee and Darrin James Kovich, Madeleine and Harper King, Anthony Jr. and Abigail Benash, Gabrielle Quinter, Noah and Isiah Fessler, Mason, Jackson and Gracyn Weber. There will be a Memorial Gathering on Wednesday June 27, 2018 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at The Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation services, Inc., Orwigsburg. A celebration of Robert's Life service will begin at 5:30, with Rev Mark Shellhamer officiating. followed by Military honors. There will be a private Interment at a later date in Union Cemetery in Schuylkill Haven.
