Bob was born in Reading on October 27, 1947, son of the late Verna and James Stout. He attended Oley Valley Schools.
He was the loving husband of Joan L. Stout. They were married August 24, 2002, and crammed a lifetime of memories and love into their years together.
In addition to being an active member of Kimmels Evangelical Free Church, Bob was also a member of the Orwigsburg V.F.W. In the last years of his life he enjoyed being a member of The Journey, a Bible study program at Kimmels Church, that he traveled with John Fisher.
He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. Subsequently, Bob owned a cleaning business, an automotive garage and drove truck.
He was very creative and spent a lot of time in his wood shop building items for friends and family. He taught himself how to play the Dulcimer. Bob was an avid fisherman and spent many hours 'drowning worms". He especially enjoyed fishing with his grandson CJ. Before Bob's health declined, he and Joan enjoyed riding their motorcycles and camping. His greatest joys came from visiting family and being Grandpa Bob.

Eight children. They are Lori, wife of Carl Weikel; John Stout, husband of Brittany; Julie Stout; Jennifer, wife of David Crispell; Stanton Frey , husband of Joyce; Brett Frey husband of Micah; Ashley, wife of Dave Galarza and Stephanie, wife of Adam Vietmeier.
