Sharon Marie (Mangine) Ball

Sharon Marie Ball passed away Tuesday, February 16th at Geisinger-St. Luke’s Hospital in Orwigsburg, PA. She was 63-years-old. 
Sharon was born on August 17, 1957 in Pottsville, PA to Adella Jean (Rhode) Dillman. She grew up in Schuylkill County, graduating from Blue Mountain High School in 1975 and continuing on to earn her Associate’s Degree from the National Legal Secretarial School at Hagerstown Business College in 1977. 

She married her love and partner, Hugh Daniel Ball, on November 30, 1985. They lived in several different parts of the country before returning to Orwigsburg to be closer to her family. Dan and Sharon remained happily married for nearly 30 years until his death, and she is excited to be reunited with him. 

She is survived by her son, Andrew Ball, her mother, sister, brothers, nieces, nephews, and a number of other loving relatives and close friends. 

Even though Sharon was taken too soon, she lived a full life surrounded by people who loved her. Her interests included reading, traveling, dining, and above all, she relished in sharing her time and experiences with friends and family. Never without advice or a helping hand, Sharon improved the lives of everyone around her and she will be missed very much. 

A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 23rd at Hamiltion-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, PA, with Rev. Kenneth Melber Officiating. The public is invited to call from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Due to weather, the interment will be private, at a later date, in Zion’s Red Church Cemetery in Orwigsburg. Guests are asked to follow CDC guidelines to stop the spread of Covid-19.
