ELLEN R. KAUFFMAN , 90, of Orwigsburg, PA, passed away Monday, November 9th, at Schuylkill Medical Center - South Jackson Street, Pottsville.

Born in West Brunswick, Pa. on November 14, 1924, a daughter of the late Dorothy (Young ) and Charles David Neiswender .

She was the widow of Emerson ( Bill ) W. Kauffman.

She was a devoted member of Salem United Methodist Church Orwigsburg and a Graduate of Orwigsburg High School class of 1944

She worked as a Folder at Fesslers Knitting Mill Orwigsburg. Ellen was also very active in the Orwigsburg Historical Society. She had a love for collecting memorabilia especially stamps and postcards reflecting local history.

Ellen is survived by her son in Law Dale J. Strouse , of Orwigsburg, PA;

Granddaughter Jennifer L. , wife of James Gipe , of Orwigsburg, PA;

Grandson Michael W. Strouse

Her 5 Great - grandchildren are Benjamin, Kira, Wyatt, Jesse and Emmitt and her Brother in law Danny Gangloff

She was preceded by her daughter Sandra L. Strouse on September 3rd , 2015 and her sister Grace Gangloff October 2, 2009.

A Memorial Service will be held at Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Orwigsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 16th. Friends may visit with Ellen's family from 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Women

Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Kimmel's Cemetery, Orwigsburg.
