Deborah R. Margavage, 71, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday, November 29th, at her residence.
Debbie was born in Pottsville, Pa. on December 8, 1953, a daughter of the late Ruth (Bensinger) and Wayne Ralph Kamp.
Debbie was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School. She was a long time volunteer in the EMS system in Schuylkill Haven, and a past member and Secretary for the Rainbow Hose Company in Schuylkill Haven. Debbie is a retired Schuylkill County 911 Communications Dispatcher.
She is survived by her brother, Dennis Kamp, husband of Judy, of Oxford, PA.
Debbie is also survived by her niece Kathleen Kamp, nephew Andrew Kamp and her close friends Cheryl & Rick Ibberson and Malinda and Tom Renninger.
Debbie was a member of Drehersville Salem United Methodist Church. There will be a memorial service for friends and family to be held on a future date.
Debbie was an animal lover and had several rescue dogs over the years. After her retirement she spent some of her spare time at Furever Home Rescue taking care of Senior and Special Needs dogs, as well as helping with transports of rescues to the ER in the middle of the night. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Debbie's name may be made to Furever Home Rescue,1798 Tanglewood Road, Orwigsburg PA 17961.
