Virginia " Ginny " C. (Shugars) Herb

Virginia C (Ginny) Herb, 96, of Pine Grove, formerly of Orwigsburg, died Monday, May 20, 2024, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg. Ginny was born in Buck Run, a daughter of Charlotte (Dearborn) and George A. Shugars.  She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Orwigsburg but since living in Pine Grove, she became a member of Jacobs Lutheran Church, Pine Grove, PA.
Ginny was a 1945 graduate of Cass Township High School  and attended Penn State University..  She retired from American Argo, Orwigsburg, after 31 years.  She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 424, Ladies Auxiliary Of Lehigh Consistory, Schuylkill Haven Senior Citizens and the Golden Girls Choral Group since 1991.  She was a volunteer for the Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries of Schuylkill County and active in many community affairs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phaon R. Herb; her son, Thomas Herb; Grandson Nathaniel, and her sister, Beverly Jennings.
She is survived by her son, Richard R. Herb and wife Ann, daughter-in-law Tracie Herb, Grandson Ethan and wife Gennifer, Great-Grandsons Carson and Brody; sister, Georgine and husband Jack Sukeena and several in-law Great Grandchildren.
Services are private at the convenience of the family and entrusted to the Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.
