Betty Ann Emerich, 70, of Hamburg, entered into eternal rest Saturday while in the company of family members at her residence.

Born in Pottsville, Nov. 12, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Ruth Yeich and Warren Schrader.

She was the wife of Robert L. Emerich. They married on May 9, 1964.

She was a member of Zions Red Church, Orwigsburg. She was employed as a bookkeeper and stopped working due to ill health. She worked for Dietrich's Men's Shop and numerous businesses in the Hamburg area.

She was a Blue Mountain High School graduate, Class of 1961

She was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Michael R. Emerich-Smith.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Robert, Hamburg, is a daughter, Rebecca M. Nye, Hamburg; son, Robert D., husband of Traci Emerich, Muhlenberg Township; brother, Harold C., husband of Susan C. Schrader, Schuylkill Haven; sister, Helen L. Shappell, Flordia; brother, John W., husband of Barbara A. Schrader, New Ringgold; and twin grandchildren, Olivia Michelle and Noah Anthony Rosa-Emerich, Reading.

Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc. Services are at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Zion's Red Church Cemetery, Orwigsburg.
